What can protein do for you?!?

You might wonder, what is the point of protein? Maybe you consumed a chicken breast and a slice of cheese, as far as protein is concerned, today is that not enough? Although those are great sources of protein your body requires about 40% of your body weight in protein daily. Why you might ask? In order for our bodies to carry out daily functions it requires protein. Protein assists in the growth of our hair and nails. Its assists in building and repairing body tissue, burns fat and most importantly it helps our body fight disease. Not to mention protein is a great energy source. Next to water, protein is the most important components in fueling our body.

The RDA suggests that we consume 0.4g of protein per pound of body weight

Example:
Body Weight (lbs) x 0.4 = Total Suggested Grams of Protein

120lbs = 48g
150lbs = 60g
175lbs = 70g
200lbs = 80g
